While there are no refugees currently held in Nauru, and the Albanese Government has begun to implement the change to permanent visas for people who were granted temporary protection in Australia, there are several issues in Australia’s refugee policy which are still in need of address.  Among them, is that up to 12,000 people remain in limbo after their applications for asylum were rejected in what the current government states was a flawed and unfair system.  

This forum will explore the situation for these people and the action that needs to be taken to provide them with safety.
